What is Business Process Testing?

Business Process Testing introduces the concept of reusable business components for test design. This construct drastically reduces your test maintenance and improves efficiency for test creation. BPT uses a modular approach to testing as the smallest, logical, reusable business process gets identified as a singular business component. This approach is particularly useful when testing SAP, as processes flow with the use of transaction codes. The tasks and workflow of these transaction codes mimic the overall design and concept of BPT.
Key Product Benefits
· Provides a single point of maintenance for all automated testing assets. Changes to a business component are automatically propagated through all test assets.
· Allows for non-technical subject matter experts to build, data drive and document tests in one web-based system.
· Business components are automatically tracked in the overall test set, giving the tester a quick list of every test case that uses the business component.
· Enables SMEs not necessarily knowledgeable in automation to work effectively with Automation Engineers to build, document and run business process tests.
· SMEs can automate and execute their own automated tests.
· Allows testing process to begin early in the development cycle unlike automated testing where application has to be up and running before scripting cab begin.
· Create re-usable components, test cases and test sets before AUT is available saving lot of time in testing lifecycle.
